GCHQ CyberFirst Girls Competition campaign
Agency: Penna & Stafford Long
Getting girls interested in cyber futures
The challenge
The CyberFirst Girls Competition is a yearly event, designed to get more female students engaged with cybersecurity careers. The ask was to take the previous year’s campaign in a new direction, reaching a wider range of educators. The main consideration? Making the message loud and clear, so more girls were opting into the opportunity.
The solution
My main focus was to create clarity around the why, highlighting the prizes and perks. I also wanted to communicate how easy it was to get involved, and who was eligible to apply. The Art Director pushed the original illustrative style to feel more tech-related, while I tailored different messages for teachers and students, across the school community.
